How We Help
Many organizations help with simchas — and that work is beautiful and needed. But what about the electric bill that's three months overdue? The winter coat your child outgrew? The folders and pencils they need for the first day of school?
We are there for that. Harp of Hope exists to help you and your family through trying times — with grace, with dignity, and without judgment. No need is too small. No family is forgotten.
מָזוֹן
Mazon
No family should go to bed hungry. Our food program provides emergency grocery assistance, Shabbat and holiday meal support, and connections to local food resources for families facing hardship.
וּבְקֻצְרְכֶם אֶת קְצִיר אַרְצְכֶם
"When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field to its very border." — Leviticus 19:9
בַּיִת
Bayit
A stable home is the foundation of a stable life. We provide emergency rent assistance and utility grants to help families stay housed and avoid eviction.
וְאָהַבְתָּ לְרֵעֲךָ כָּמוֹךָ
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself." — Leviticus 19:18
לְבוּשׁ
Levush
Dignity begins with being clothed. We provide seasonal clothing grants for adults and children, school uniforms, winter coats, and essential household items for families starting over.
פָּתֹחַ תִּפְתַּח אֶת יָדְךָ לְאָחִיךָ
"You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor." — Deuteronomy 15:11
יְלָדִים
Yeladim
Every child deserves to grow up with hope. Our children's programs support education, Jewish identity, and the basic needs of the youngest members of our community.
חֲנֹךְ לַנַּעַר עַל פִּי דַרְכּוֹ
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6
Additional Support
No need is too small. A pack of folders for school. A month's electric bill. A winter coat. These are the moments we were built for — apply and let us help.
Tuition assistance and scholarship grants for Jewish day schools, yeshivot, and higher education — because Torah learning must never be interrupted by financial hardship.
Emergency grants to help families cover medical bills, prescriptions, and healthcare costs that fall outside insurance coverage.
No family should face Shabbat or the High Holidays without what they need. We provide special grants for Passover, Rosh Hashanah, and Shabbat observance.
Volunteer professionals — CPAs, attorneys, and financial advisors — donate their time to provide free, confidential guidance to families navigating financial hardship or legal challenges.
Who Can Apply
We serve families and individuals who are experiencing financial hardship. While our roots are in the Jewish community, our doors are open to all — because chesed knows no boundary.
You don't need to be facing a crisis to reach out. If you need help paying a utility bill, buying school supplies, or putting food on the table this week — that is exactly why we are here.
